Nate has served as Pastor of Faith Lutheran since its inception in 2009. He is a graduate of Moorhead State University and Luther Northwestern Seminary in St. Paul. He previously served congregations in Sierra Vista, Arizona, Dresser, Wisconsin and Pipestone, Minnesota. Pastor Nate and his wife, Kate, have three children; son, Kaj, daughter, Annika and son, Haakon. Pastor Nate enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, reading, and writing. He also follows sports, especially Gophers basketball and Vikings football. During college, he competed in Tae Kwon Do tournaments and achieved black belt status. Before receiving his call to ministry, Nate had originally planned on being a lawyer and attended William Mitchell College of Law and worked for the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department in Minneapolis, but then God revealed that He had a different path for him to follow.

Secretary

Sarah Kalkbrenner and her husband Eric moved to Little Falls in 2009 and were soon invited by friends to come and try out their brand-new church, Faith Lutheran. Sarah and Eric found a wonderful family of believers coming together to be God’s church and immediately felt at home. They joined in 2010 and have been blessed to be a part of the growth of the church from purchasing land to building our beautiful building. Sarah began work as Faith Lutheran’s secretary in October of 2015. Now, Sarah is thankful to work closely with Pastor Nate and the congregation to keep the office running and organized. When Sarah isn’t working at the church, you can likely find her with her nose in a book, knitting needles in her hands with a cup of coffee and one or more of her cats snuggled on her lap. Preferably all at once.

Custodians
Roger and Patricia have been married for almost 60 years and have 5 adult children, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They started their marriage while Roger served in the US Navy. Both were raised in central Minnesota, but they've moved 20+ times around the Midwest, settling in Little Falls where they have been for the past 30 years. They faithfully serve Faith Lutheran in many ways. Patricia has a love for students, helping them in growing their relationship with Jesus through teaching Sunday School and Roger has a special attention for detail and cares for our building exceptionally well. Roger and Patricia enjoy spending time with family and friends who are like family. Roger enjoys fishing, hunting, and shooting trap, while Patricia enjoys painting, quilting, and Nordic art.

Annika graduated from Minnesota State University in Moorhead with a degree in Multimedia Journalism and Mass Communications in 2021. After graduation, she worked in Human Resources at Catholic Charities. During her time there, she felt God calling her into youth ministry. In November of 2022, she was hired as the full time Youth and Family Ministry Director at Faith Lutheran. She feels incredibly blessed for the opportunity to work, and grow in faith with, our wonderful young people. In her free time she enjoys long boarding, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family and friends. God is doing incredible things with our youth group at Faith, and she is grateful to be apart of it.

Amanda grew up in Little Falls and now lives in Pierz with her husband, Joe, and their six children. She is a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church and feels blessed being able to see all the ways God has provided for the growth of our congregation. She began as the Ministry and Volunteer Coordinator at Faith Lutheran in October 2022. She enjoys spending her mornings having coffee and devotion time with her husband. She also enjoys watching her children’s extra curricular activities, bonfires and being outdoors. On cold winter days, you can usually find her and her family playing one of their many monopoly games.
